Talar's Story: Our Wedding Flowers

Written by . Posted in Talar's Story

This is it! My last blog before the big day and I've saved my favorite vendor for last, my florist. I first heard of Martha & Co Martha as she was the florist for a friend's wedding. I used her services for a birthday party I threw for my parents and her work was flawless. She is really multi-talented and wears so many hats. Naturally, and without hesitation, I chose her to be my wedding florist. Given my nervousness and anxiety over all of the planning that had to go into this big day, I met with Martha a total of 5 times! As you may know, this isn't the norm! One or two meetings should be all that you need.

The list of services provided by Martha & Co Martha are so many that I will try to cover them all here: centerpieces, setting up day-of favors, the foyer at the hall, the church set-up, money box, toss bouquet, bridesmaid/maid-of-honor and bride bouquets, corsages, boutonniere's and even the morning-of gifts and flowers. My discussions with Martha regarding everything but the centerpieces were very short. She knew what I liked and had already prepared lists of what needed to get done. This wasn't much different with the centerpieces but in all honesty, I was very nervous as to what they were going to look like. What may come as a surprise to many is that  I am not very big on flowers, and would prefer something very simple. There are certain flowers that I had very quickly vetoed from the centerpieces including orchids.

With my color scheme of blush and mint in mind, Martha made me a sample that really made my vision come to life. In fact, we even added orchids!! Overall, Martha and her team have been able to put my mind at ease and assure me that my wedding will be the wonderland that I have always dreamt it to be.

I can't wait to see all the flowers on our wedding day and for our entire vision to come to life.
