WE'RE HIRING: DIGITAL MARKETING MANAGER

Hey guys! For those of you who actually read our blog articles, this one is for you! ;) We're growing rapidly and we now have more beautiful wedding, romantic proposal, and traditional engagement stories to share than we can handle! We're honored that so many brides want to share their story with us. But we've fallen incredibly behind and it's time to beef up our team.

So if you have a marketing background or are interested in learning about technology, analytics, and digital marketing, then this is the role for you. We currently have a part-time position available and we're looking to hire a rockstar. The perks are the work is fun (you must find Armenian weddings fun!), the hours are flexible, and there's no office you need to commute to - work from home, go to a coffee shop, or come to our co-working space in Pasadena. If this is in any way exciting, read on. Or you know someone who would love to do this work, please pass this on to them.

About a month ago, we had the honor of meeting Alexis Ohanian, Sr. at a tech event in Los Angeles. We were thrilled when he agreed to share his and Serena Williams’ wedding with Harsanik and took the time to answer our questions!

In case you're not familiar with Alexis, he's one of the most famous Armenian technology executives. Having co-founded Reddit, he established himself as a serial entrepreneur and then went on to launch Initialized Capital, a venture capital firm based in San Francisco. You can find 16 Facts About Alexis Ohanian on our blog. The founders of Harsanik have been following Alexis' career for more than a decade, and we are thrilled to have such a successful Armenian in tech that serves as a role model. And of course, tennis queen Serena Williams needs no introduction.

On December 29, 2016 Alexis Ohanian, Sr. got engaged to Serena Williams. Alexis and Serena tied the knot on November 16, 2017 at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans. We are elated to feature Alexis Ohanian, Sr. and Serena Williams' wedding on Harsanik!

17 IRISH WEDDING CUSTOMS AND TRADITIONS

We love when couples choose to incorporate their culture or wedding traditions on their big day. In honor of St. Patrick's Day, we're sharing some of our favorite Irish wedding traditions!

1. Horseshoe:

Horseshoe symbolizes good luck in many cultures. In Irish tradition, brides carried a horseshoe with them on their wedding day to bring good luck to the occasion and their marriage. Eventually, instead of an actual horseshoe brides started carrying a symbol of the horseshoe. According to the legends, the horseshoe should face up resembling a "U" so that the luck doesn't run out.

Arina was excited to celebrate her 23rd birthday party with her family and close friends. Little did she know that her then-boyfriend, Masis, was going to propose to her that night, and turn the event into their engagement party!

Before we share their romantic surprise proposal story, let's get to know the couple a bit. Masis and Arina met in 2014 and soon started dating. When we asked the couple how they met, Masis responded "It was love at first sight when I saw Arina shopping at the mall with her friend. A couple months later I finally got around to find her on Instagram, and it all started there!"
