|Beach & Seashell Themed Bridal Shower|
Last weekend, we had the pleasure of attending a very fun and festive bridal shower for one of our dear friends who is getting married this summer. The bridal shower had a beach and seashell theme and took place on a rooftop in beautiful Santa Monica. The beach theme was very fitting with the location!
To kick off the theme, the bride Astineh made the cutest invitations to match the beach and seashell theme. She created these small packages which were filled with seashells and had a message in a bottle, in which the message included the details of her shower. So cute!
Next, she continued the theme with a matching bridal shower cake made by the talented Cake Studio. The cake design was inspired by the invitation, and included handmade edible seashell decorations all over the cake, an empty bottle at the top of the cake with the message coming out displaying “Showering Astineh with Love”. The cake was a major hit at the party and everyone made sure to take photos posing by the beautiful cake! And of course, not only was the cake a beauty, but it was also delicious – a white cake with a fresh strawberries and strawberry mousse.
As if the cake wasn’t enough, we also enjoyed delicious bread pudding! The bread pudding was from Schulzie’s Bread Pudding located in Venice Beach. Schulzie’s makes 108 flavors of bread pudding, so deciding on the flavors was one of the hardest jobs! The 4 flavors we enjoyed were Green Tea Matcha Magic, Timeless Toffee Crunch, Very Merry Wild Berry, and Celestial Chocolate Chunk. Everyone loved the variety of flavors and enjoyed having a unique dessert.
And of course, you can’t have dessert without coffee or tea! Caffè Movente, who provides a gourmet espresso catering service, served coffee and teas to all the guests, including Armenian coffee!
In addition to all the eating, we all played some fun shower games. The first game was a “How Well Do You Know the Bride & Groom” game, where everyone was given a list of 10 questions to answer about both the bride and the groom (e.g. what is the bride’s favorite trip that they took together as a couple? What is the groom’s favorite trip?). The bride also got to play as she had to answer the same questions to see how well she matched her answers with the groom’s! Next we played “He Said, She Said”, where every guest was given a list of statements and we had to guess whether the groom or the bride made those statements. And last, we played the decoration game, where teams were given a handful of crafty items (tissue paper, styrofoam balls, ribbons, etc) and were asked to create bridal bouquets.
Overall, everyone ended up having a wonderful time celebrating Astineh’s bridal shower with tasty food, fun games, wonderful company, at a beautiful location. Congrats Astineh & Evan on the upcoming wedding!
