I had my engagement and bridal shower here. Their service is great. They are very friendly and open to your needs as a customer. Their staff is also very friendly and willing to help you. Their food is also very delicious and pleasing. I enjoyed the layout and elegant set up of the hall.

I attending a wedding here. The lay out was very strange, it seems like the seating areas (there are 4) are very separated from the dance floor. It made the guest feel like they were at a public restaurant and there was a small party going on somewhere in the distance. The distance is so great that you barely heard the music from the dance floor, let alone see the dance floor. The whole night our table joked about how they have to "get on the freeway" to go the dance floor.
The food was OK...I honestly never saw a waiter come to our table...

Kept the Party Going!, Friday, 25 January 2008
Rainbow sang at my wedding. I had actually never heard them prior to my wedding, but everyone I asked buffered me to them. I was soooo happy with the way they kept the party going. Their performance was shocking how good it was. I had people that had never heard of them tell me how much they loved their performance. They really know how to keep your party jumping and not let your guests fall asleep.
We were very happy with them!

I went to Van Bakery for my bridal shower. I took them a picture of a cake that I had drawn out. She did a fantastic job in re-creating my vision. She added some of her own touch to the cake and make it look very fun and fabulous. The cake was a great hit, everyone loved and several people asked me where I had it made. It was not only gorgeous but it was delicious as well.
Very satisfied with their service and quality. I have referred many people there.

horrible!, Friday, 18 January 2008
Alice Makeupland is a horrible salon!!! I've never had a worse experience at a salon as I did here. The staff is extremely rude...especially the receptionist. Rather than servicing customers, she gives them attitude and argues with them. They need to learn how to handle customers with respect and manners. I saw their adds on the TV, where they made the salon seem like an ultra high-end luxury spa. I decided to meet with Alice for my wedding and she was really nice and straight forward at first. Prior to my wedding, I attending someone's else wedding and thought this would be a perfect time to try out Alice's salon before my own wedding. In return what I received was a salon who didn't care about their customers wants and needs. Most of all didn't know how to treat a customer. This salon was very inexperienced and the over all staff was terrible. The stylists have no creativity or imagination and won't even listen to you to ask what you want. They do whatever they want. The styles are very out dated, and done in a very unprofessional manner with bobbie pins showing and hard hair spray look. It could have been done better at home. My "stylist" was an inexperienced person, who made me help her as she used her cheap Tres Me hair spray on my hair. She even made me hold a box of bobby pins and had me hand them to her...WOW...now thats luxury. The hairstyle I received was extremely ugly and could have been done better by a 5 year old. I don't understand where these people received their certifications. I was better off doing it at home.
The airbrushed make up itself was even worse. It didn't even last 2 hours on my face. Oddly enough if gave me an allergic reaction while I was there and as she was applying it, which i did not receive any attention or care for. The style of makeup was even horrible. I asked for a mixture of champagne and brown and what i received was black and blue...I don't see the connection.
Take it from me, don't waste your time or money in this salon. Don't believe or be fooled by their false advertising. 100% guarantee you'll leave the salon look like a freak and you will have wasted your time, energy, and nerves for $200! I had to go home and wash my hair and make up off and redo everything myself. After this experience I canceled my appointment with her for my wedding and lost my deposit with her. It was non-refundable.
