Before you know it, you'll be marching down the aisle! But don't get caught up in last-minute to-dos that will make you feel anxious or flustered.
Prepare as much as you can by following this checklist:
1. Walk around in your wedding shoes as much as possible so your feet get acclimated.
2. On Sunday or Monday, wear your wedding dress and make sure everything looks right. Catching a potential alteration early on in the week can be a blessing in disguise!
3. Pick up your wedding bands if you haven't done so already.
4. Contact and confirm plans/payments with your vendors—florist, limo service, DJ, etc.—at the very beginning of the week.
5. Avoid any crazy facial treatments. Stick to eating clean, drinking lots of water, and staying out of the sun as much as possible.
6. Visit your salon for a quick trim or any last-minute hair touch-ups, just no hair coloring. Make sure to get any color touch-ups weeks in advance.
7. Confirm that you have everything you need for the day-of (undergarments, garter, headpiece) from head to toe.
8. Pack your overnight bag and for your honeymoon.
9. Move any final items, whether it is clothing or furniture, into your new place.
10. Go to your mani/pedi appointment a day or two before, but make sure your appointment is set well in advance.
11. Work with your Maid of Honor to put together a wedding day emergency kit, filling it with items like a sewing kit, deodorant and Band-Aids in case anyone in your wedding party needs it.
12. If you're having your reception at a hall, prepare to submit your final seating chart and guest list early on in the week.
13. Confirm that alcohol, favors, cake-cutting set and champagne flutes arrive at your reception site at least the night before if you are buying and creating them on your own.
14. If you're going to your rehearsal the week-of, make sure to take your wedding license with you to the church and leave it there so it is not forgotten.
15. The day before, squeeze in a well-deserved massage!
