Featured Proposal: Saro & Lia

Most people think brides are very hesitant to not be the center of attention on their wedding day, but we recently stumbled upon a very beautiful and emotional proposal that we knew we had to share. Saro proposed to Lia at his cousin's wedding; using the bridal to plan this very wonderful surprise! We caught up with the couple to get all the wonderful details. 

So you guys, tell us how you guys met!

Lia: Saro And I met in our junior year of high school, in our math class. A year later we started dating and have been together ever since. We have been together for 6 years now and our 7 year anniversary is coming up.

Saro: I fell in love with Lia the second she walked into the classroom. I will never forget the way she look that day. As soon as the teacher called her name I searched her up on Facebook and added her a few days later. I tried to be friends with her to get closer to her. She was very beautiful, smart and friendly but did not let people too close to her. 

Let's get right into the juicy details of the proposal! Saro how did you manage to plan everything?

 

That is so emotional and beautiful! Lia what was your reaction to all that?

Lia: I had no idea that Saro was going to propose. I was so excited for the wedding that my whole attention was on the bride and helping her get ready for her big day. I would not have guessed in a million years that something like that would happen that day. I was speechless and so shocked on that moment. When Nairi (the bride) walked up to me to give me the bouquet, I was so confused. When she turned me around the whole world stopped for a moment. I was looking at Saro and the ring and I needed a moment to process it. I was trying to say yes and hug him and kiss him but the happiness and the shock had paralyzed me. My friend Renia who was standing next to us was shouting “Lia Say Yes! Say Yes”. Finally I was able to nod my head “yes”.

With all this being a surprise, how did you know what type of ring Lia wanted?

Saro: I knew what Lia liked because I would have some friends and family ask her subtly . After that I had to confirm a few times, so when I saw a ring in a movie or an ad I would try to see if she liked it or not. She unintentionally gave out clues but was never specific about the details which gave me a lot of room to be creative. 

Lia- I fell in love with the ring the moment I saw it. I don't know how he got exactly what I liked but still had so much of his taste and aesthetic added. I never had a specific ring that I wanted instead I wanted him to choose for me. That was way more meaningful for me.

This proposal brought tear to our eyes and we are so happy to be sharing it with our readers. We want to congratulate Saro and Lia on their proposal and we cannot wait to share their wedding day with everyone soon.
