TALAR'S STORY: THE END AND THE BEGINNING

It's hard to believe that it's been six months since our wedding! It feels like just yesterday, I received an e-mail from Harsanik.com that I had won their contest to feature our wedding and blog about my wedding planning experience. I can't tell you all how lucky I feel to have been chosen to do this. So for my last blog, I wanted to take a minute to thank some people and give last minute advice.

TALAR'S STORY: OUR HONEYMOON

You may recall from our previous blog about planning our honeymoon, that Serj and I decided to travel to South Africa. One of the best decisions we made was planning our trip three months after the wedding. For us, it was like the last little bit before we had to say bye to our wedding planning and adventure. So with both of us scared of flying, we took what felt like the longest flight to London. I had been to London previously, but Serj had not, so we decided to stay there for three days. From there, we flew to Johannesburg and connected to Cape Town, South Africa.

TALAR'S STORY: THANK YOU CARDS

After our wedding, one of the reasons we kept bugging our photographer, Lark Wedding Photography, for our pictures was to be able to choose the right one in preparing our Thank You cards for our guests. But in reality, it's so much more than just choosing a picture. For us, there are three different kinds of Thank You cards we will be sending. The majority will be to the guests who came to the wedding, those who couldn't make it to the wedding but sent a gift, and lastly, some additional cards will be ordered to send to our vendors.

TALAR'S STORY: OUR WEDDING FLOWERS

This is it! My last blog before the big day and I've saved my favorite vendor for last, my florist. I first heard of Martha & Co Martha as she was the florist for a friend's wedding. I used her services for a birthday party I threw for my parents and her work was flawless. She is really multi-talented and wears so many hats. Naturally, and without hesitation, I chose her to be my wedding florist. Given my nervousness and anxiety over all of the planning that had to go into this big day, I met with Martha a total of 5 times! As you may know, this isn't the norm! One or two meetings should be all that you need.
