Anniversary Photoshoot: Gev and Susie

Meet Susie and Gev! They've been married for a little over a year now and for their Anniversary they decided to do a unique and romantic photoshoot at their home! As they say, pictures tell a story and represent the chapters of our lives, and Susie and Gev's photos do just that! We talked to their wedding and anniversary photographer, Mher Vahakn Special Event Photography, and they shared the couple's sweet story from their wedding to their anniversary.

About the Couple

Susie, or Dr. Susie as she's known, is a beloved pediatric dentist. Her hobbies include getting creative with her abundance of avocados, like avocado ice cream with cardamom. Gev is a Loss Control and Prevention Specialist and an Adjunct Professor. He loves playing hockey and drinking artisanal coffee. 

Their Wedding

Gev and Susie got married at The Crossings at Carlsbad with an outdoor ceremony followed by an indoor reception. When planning their wedding, the couple didn't really think about taking engagement or pre-wedding portraits. Instead they focused more on planning a wedding that would reflect who they are, what they love and sharing all that with their closest family and friends. Both Susie and Gev love good food, craft beers and artisanal coffee. For their wedding, they brewed and bottled a special beer just for the occasion and handed them as wedding favors. The reception also included musical performances by their friends and a choreographed father and daughter dance! 

Anniversary Photoshoot:Why Their Home?

Susie and Gev are more than your typical foodies. They genuinely love the art of cooking a fine meal. They both enjoy brewing their own craft beers and sharing with friends. It was only natural their home be also an extension of who they are as a couple, which is where they decided they wanted to shoot their Anniversary Portraits. 

Nestled in the heart of Studio City, the couple spends most of their free time making their house a home! They've built a seasonal garden in their backyard. They've even installed a Bonafide tap for their beers! Their lovely home also includes an avocado tree and a hammock on their front lawn. For Susie and Gev, their home is a reflection of who they are as well as their happy place. We couldn't have picked a better location if we tried. 

Susie and Gev's decision to their photoshoot at home, where they are the happiest together, is special and reflects them as a couple. We love their beautiful photos and the warm, adoring, and romantic feeling throughout their photoshoot.
