CHRISTINE'S STORY: MY BRIDAL VEIL
Often times when purchasing a bridal gown, brides will also opt in for a matching veil. When I was purchasing my gown, I didn't fall in love with any of the suggested veils. Because my dress is a very dramatic ball gown, the designer suggested a short veil. The longest veil that was recommended was elbow length but I really had my heart set on a cathedral veil.
CHRISTINE'S STORY: LASHES BY LYNETTE
When I heard that there was going to be a bridal bar at last year's Harsanik Bridal Show, I was so excited! I had recently heard about lash extensions so I definitely wanted to try them. When I arrived at the bridal show, I met Lynette from Lynette Marie Skincare and Lashes. Her bubbly personality was so welcoming!

Lynette specializes in skincare and lashes at Tranquility Spa in La Canada which is conveniently local for me. Lynette did a demo of what eyelash extensions would be like on me. She reminded me that when you are on your honeymoon, you don't want to have to wake up and put mascara on. Especially if you are going somewhere tropical where you are going to be in the water often.
CHRISTINE'S STORY: BRIDESMAIDS GIFTS
This week we started to hand out our invitations. Traditionally, in Armenian families, we attend the guest's home and join them for a cup of tea or coffee as we present the invitations. The first place we went after our parent's homes was my cousin Armine's home. Armine's two daughters, Anita and Aileen, are also two of my bridesmaids. In addition to the invitations, I decided to present them with their bridesmaid gifts.

CHRISTINE'S STORY: MY BRIDAL HEADPIECE
I've been on a mission to find the perfect headpiece for my wedding. Initially I had a very hard time staying in budget. I fell in love with a headpiece that was over budget, it was closer to $500. After I saw this headpiece, I had an idea of what I wanted. I shopped around for a while but didn't find anything similar.

CHRISTINE'S STORY: CELEBRATING MY BRIDAL SHOWER
Last week, my friends and family gathered for my bridal shower at The Villa in Woodland Hills. My bridal shower was hosted by Eminence Events. Eminence events did an incredible job from the dessert table, to the games and prizes.

CHRISTINE'S STORY: FLOWER GIRL OUTFITS
Guests at the wedding are always left in awe when they see the flower girls walking down the aisle. Feeling inspired by the children's runway show at the Harsanik Bridal Show, I decided instead of the girls walking alone, we would have boys walk them down the aisle.

CHRISTINE'S STORY: OUR HONEYMOON
Sticking to tradition, the day after our wedding, we left for our honeymoon. We spent 8 incredible days in Tulum, Mexico. Before we booked our honeymoon, I had never heard of Tulum and I must say it is a hidden gem! I didn't know that crystal clear water like that existed.

CHRISTINE'S STORY: TRASH THE DRESS PHOTOSHOOT!
Years before I even started planning our wedding, I was introduced to Pinterest. As I started my Pinterest search, the first images I came across were about a unique idea called "Trash the Dress" photography, where after the wedding, the bride and groom essentially "trash" their outfits to get some incredible photos. After our wedding I felt like I had to have a "Trash the Dress" photoshoot! Here are all the details of our "Trash the Dress" Photoshoot with Mher Vakahn Special Event Photography.
